New Year, New Fishing!!

Welcome to the New Year

In 2022, I plan on fishing the following fisheries. Anything with an * means it books up quickly and is best to be added to a list of customers I contact as soon as seasons are released. If you would like to be put on these lists, please reply to this email or shoot me a text to be added.

Winter Steelhead (January – March)
Spring Chinook (March -May)
Summer Chinook (June – July)
*Summer Steelhead (May-August)
*Fall Chinook (August – November)
*Sturgeon (January – December)

Pontoon Winter Steelhead

This fishing trip does not boast warm sunny days or provide quick limits of fish, but Winter Steelhead fishing is my personal favorite fishing of the year. If you’re willing to get out in the elements for the day and fish hard you just might end up with one of these silver bullets on the end of your line. Most of the fishing I do for these fish includes some style of bobber fishing. Bobber fishing allows us to use many different types of lures including jigs, beads, bait and rubber worms. This allows us to extend the drift down river and cover as much water as possible. There is nothing better than pulling into an undisturbed hole and making the perfect cast into a current seam, your bobber sinking and when you set the hook a Steelhead comes flying out of the water. I can assure you when this happens you will forget about the rainy day or your cold hands! With my pontoon, I am able to bring two customers a day to some of the best steelhead rivers in Washington. Often times, I float stretches of river where we will never see another angler.

Recent Catches

A great haul of Lewis River Salmon for this family on a November day.
Life long friend Zach and I went out for a day of Winter Steelhead fishing. We were lucky to tie into this one.
