Willamette River Spring Chinook

We are in the middle of the Spring Chinook run right now. This year the fish haven’t been the easiest to catch but if your willing to put in the time you are often rewarded. I have been spending my time targeting these salmon in the lower stretches of the Willamette River. We have been catching all of our fish trolling a variety of baits behind triangle flashers. The river flows are quite low and clear this year so I assume that the transition to fishing further upriver and with more lures will be happening sooner than later, especially as water temperatures increase. I am looking forward to another two months of catching these fish!
