BEST IN THE PNW
The Reel Deal
Captain Michael has lived his entire fishing life in the northwest Pacific. He has hunted Salmon and Steelhead up and down the Columbia River and Lewis Rivers. These northwest waters offer anglers some of the best salmon fishing opportunities in the world. The Columbia River is the gateway to many rivers that make up the spawning grounds for our rich salmon returns. The Lewis River, near the Woodland area just 30 minutes north of Portland, offers some of the best Salmon and Steelhead fishing opportunities in the area. The Lewis has four runs of Salmon and two runs of Steelhead, offering opportunities for anglers year-round with nearly six months of excellent fishing.
WASHINGTON/OREGON
LOCATIONS
The state fish of Washington and the larger cousin to the Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, can grow over 20 pounds and average 30 inches long. The Lewis River has two Steelhead runs, with one in the Winter and one in the Summer. My favorite way to fish for them is in my pontoon boat on the Columbia River’s small tributaries in the wintertime. Click the link above to learn more about this fantastic fishing adventure.
Reel Deal fishing adventures run the most productive sections of Columbia, Willamette, and Lewis Rivers, to provide some of my clients’ best salmon fishing opportunities. In August, the Buoy 10 fishery occurs in Astoria, Oregon, and is the most popular we have to offer for salmon. Click the link above to learn more.
The Columbia River is home to the largest population of white sturgeon in the world. If a trophy Sturgeon is on your Bucket list, fishing the Columbia River is where you will need to be. Click the link above to learn more about this prehistoric river monster and cross it off your bucket list.
